Services and eligibility

What tax returns do you prepare?

We prepare federal returns: the 1040 family (individual and joint returns), Schedule C for sole proprietors and freelancers, Form 1065 for partnerships, Form 1120-S for S corporations, Form 1120 for C corporations, amended and prior-year returns, and help responding to IRS notices.

Do you handle state tax returns?

No — we focus on federal returns only. If you also need a state or local return, we refer you to a vetted partner firm for that part of your filing.

Which states do you serve?

We currently serve residents of every US state except Oregon and Nevada, as well as US citizens living abroad. If you live in Oregon or Nevada, we're not able to prepare your federal return at this time.

I live outside the United States. Can you help?

Yes — expat returns are one of our specialties. Our preparers work with the forms expat filers typically need, including Form 2555 (Foreign Earned Income Exclusion), Form 1116 (Foreign Tax Credit), Form 8938, and FBAR screening.

Do you apply for ITINs for new filers?

We currently serve clients who already have an ITIN. We do not process new ITIN applications (Form W-7) at this time.

The process

How does the 30-minute meeting work?

Before your meeting, our systems collect your documents, ask any follow-up questions, and prepare a draft return. A credentialed preparer reviews that draft ahead of time. Your 30-minute meeting is then for review, questions, adjustments, and payment — not for entering data from scratch.

Does a real person actually review my return?

Yes. A credentialed human preparer reviews and signs every return before it is filed. Our AI systems prepare drafts and do document review; they do not file a return on their own.

What if I don't want a live meeting?

An express, no-meeting review path is planned alongside the standard 30-minute meeting. Your assigned preparer reviews your file and reaches out through secure portal messages instead of a live call. Details will be published once the portal is live.

How do I book an appointment?

Booking opens once our secure client portal is live. Join our email waitlist on the home page to be notified as soon as that happens.

Pricing

How much does it cost?

We haven't published final prices yet. We review current market pricing every month and will publish one clear schedule before we open for filing. In general: individuals and couples will see one fixed price; small businesses will see a personal-return price plus a fixed percentage; business entity returns will fall within a published range capped at 30%. No dollar figures are set yet.

Will the price change after I book?

Our goal is a single published price schedule, confirmed at booking and in your engagement letter, so you know the price before you commit. Full pricing terms will be published alongside our price schedule.

Security and guarantees

Where is my tax data stored?

Your documents and tax information are stored only in a dedicated, secure AWS system built specifically to hold client data. They are never stored on this public website or its servers.

What happens if you make a mistake on my return?

If we make an error in preparing your return, we will correct it and refile at no charge. See our Terms of Service for the exact scope of this accuracy guarantee.

Is Tiny a real person?

No. Tiny is our automated assistant and mascot — a friendly, consistent voice for the site and our content, not a human being. If you want to talk to a real preparer, Tiny (or our team) can connect you with one.

Referral program

How does the referral program work?

Earn $20 for every friend who files with us for the first time. Paid by PayPal; PayPal's 2% transfer fee (about 40¢) is deducted. See our Referral Program page for full details.

Can I refer myself?

No. Self-referrals are not allowed and are never paid.
