File US Taxes is a remote federal tax preparation firm. We built our process around one idea: the parts of tax prep that are repetitive should be fast and automated, and the parts that require judgment should always involve a real, credentialed person.
Who we serve
We prepare federal tax returns for individuals, families, small businesses, and US citizens living abroad. We currently serve residents of every US state except Oregon and Nevada. If you need a state or local return as well, we refer you to a vetted partner firm for that part of your filing.
What we prepare
The 1040 family of individual returns, Schedule C for sole proprietors and freelancers, Form 1065 for partnerships, Form 1120-S for S corporations, Form 1120 for C corporations, amended and prior-year returns, and help responding to IRS notices.
Credentialed preparers, working together
File US Taxes is staffed by IRS-registered, credentialed tax preparers who review and sign every return we file — our systems never file a return without a human preparer's review and signature. Our preparers collectively bring experience across individual returns, small-business returns, partnerships and corporations, and the expat-specific forms (Form 2555, Form 1116, Form 8938, and FBAR screening) that general preparers often miss. Our preparers serve clients in English and Spanish.
Rather than listing individual staff profiles, we talk about our team as a whole, because every return is a team effort: AI-assisted document review and preparation, followed by a dedicated human preparer's review, judgment, and signature.
