Federal Tax Preparation, Done Remotely

Don't file alone — we're on your side.

File U.S. Taxes LLC is a remote federal tax preparation firm for individuals, families, small businesses, and US citizens living abroad. Every return is prepared using our proprietary workflow — cross-referencing your exact situation against IRS rules to find every deduction you qualify for — and reviewed and signed by a credentialed human preparer, never filed by software alone. We're currently rolling out a more secure, upgraded system for our clients and partners; join the waitlist to be notified the moment we open for appointments.

Federal returns prepared and signed by a person, from $145 (early rate, no meeting). File with $0 today and pay from your refund.

  • Reviewed and signed by a credentialed preparer
  • Your data stays in a dedicated secure system
  • We never sell your information

What we prepare

Federal tax preparation for individuals, families, and small businesses

We prepare federal returns for residents of every US state except Oregon and Nevada, and for US citizens living abroad. The forms we handle:

  • Form 1040 (individuals, families, joint returns)
  • Schedule C (sole proprietors and freelancers)
  • Form 1065 (partnerships)
  • Form 1120-S (S corporations)
  • Form 1120 (C corporations)
  • Amended and prior-year returns

We focus on federal returns. For state and local filing, we work with vetted partners in every state to complete your city and state taxes — see our state partner program.

Why File US Taxes

Speed from automation, judgment from people

One 30-minute meeting

Our systems read your documents, ask follow-up questions, and prepare a draft return before you ever get on a call. Your meeting is for review, questions, and sign-off — not data entry.

A real preparer signs every return

A credentialed human preparer reviews and signs every return before it's filed. Our systems prepare drafts; they never file a return on their own.

One secure place for your data

Client documents and tax information live only in a dedicated, secure AWS system built specifically to hold them — never on this public website or its servers.

Year-round, not just April

We stay with you after you file

Our aim is to make next year's filing easier than this year's. We plan to check in throughout the year with reminders and recommendations — what receipts and documents to keep, and how to organize them — so when next season arrives, you're not starting from scratch.

Document storage, built in

We're planning the ability to upload photos of receipts and documents to your own portal throughout the year as they come in, instead of hunting for them all at once next tax season.

Proactive recommendations

Based on your situation, we aim to flag what to track and what might change your filing next year — before it's a last-minute scramble.
